Howdy! My name is Seth and I’m a carpenter at Woodland Deck Company. Here’s a little bit about myself. I was homeschooled and grew up in Norton, Ohio in a Christian family of ten kids. When I was roughly four years old, my parents started construction on our next house. I didn’t get to see too much of the work, but when I was allowed to go watch my Dad and his crews work, I was having an absolute blast! All I wanted to do was build. To create. I built a few janky creations throughout the next couple of years but I really only got a taste for building things of my own after I got the chance to work alongside all my older brothers at Woodland Deck Company. Although I ended up trying a few other jobs, I saw that Woodland Deck Company was the place to be. We have a great team of guys! We all love our jobs and building decks alongside of relationships with each other and customers. As a Christian, it’s always one of highest priorities to be surrounded by those who are also followers of Christ and obedient to His commands. To have the opportunity to work at a company where Jesus’s commands are the foundation is a priceless gift.
Music has also been a huge part of my life and of my family’s, as well! Sometimes, I can’t wait to get home just to figure out a song on the piano or to strum a little on my guitar. It’s always nice to get all our instruments together with friends and family and sing praises to God.
